Us and our Farm
When we started "Us" consisted of Michael (Farmer, delivery boy, packer, salesman etc etc) Michelle - Mum of 7 - need I say more ! Emily (13) - a dab hand with the vacum packer, Lucy (11) expert on weighing and labelling, Sophie (10) chief stacker and pack counter, Daisy (7) who had a box so she could reach up to get the packs off the scales ! Matthew (4) ,farmer in training, one year old Lily who just smiles and giggles all the time, and baby Luke who everyone looks like his Dad - fat and bald !
We have been producing beef and lamb from our farm, located just outside Biggar, since 1996 and started to sell directly to the public and deliver nationwide in 2007.We have developed a unique system of feeding our animals. They are free to roam outside all year round and graze only fresh natural foods, 365 days of the year. We do not feed any manufactured meal making our meat extremely pure, healthy and full of flavour. Our animals graze only the highest quality FRESH grass and clover in summer and in winter, they graze FRESH kale with hay or silage. This 100% FRESH and natural diet creates the most incredible flavoured meat the amount of Omega 3 in the meat.
Having a young family ourselves, we understand the importance of not only providing healthy and nutritious food as part of a well balanced diet but also serving flavoursome and tasty food at a reasonable price.
What and How
Our Business has continued to expand and we have added to our product range including Pies produced using our own meat as well as free range Pork which we get directly from a farm at Hawick. We produce all our own Free Range Norfolk Black and Kelly Bronze Christmas Turkeys here at the farm. We now employ two butchers, a baker and a shop assistant. While the online business continues to grow we also have our retail shop, bakery and butchery on the High Street in Lanark. We prepare our beef, lamb and pork to the highest standards and tailor your order to suit your needs as well as bake all our own pies and produce our amazing cooked meat range. We deliver directly to your door so you have complete traceability and you don't have to deal with any middle men. There is NO DELIVERY CHARGE for orders over £100.00.
